After you master a few simple skills you'll be amazed how easy paddling a Stand Up is. Did we mention what a great workout it is? The only thing we want to warn you about is... it's addicting. Once you start you may be hooked. That being said, come on over and let us show you the best workout on the water you've had in a long time. Our sixty-minute classes are designed to help you learn about the world of stand up paddle boarding. We'll start on land and show you the basics, from proper paddling technique, paddle exchange, stroke, turning and much more. After that we'll go through proper ways to enter and exit the water, how to time paddling out between sets, even how to carry the big board down to the water. Then it's time to make a splash, and if you're anything like us, when we started, you'll be making a few. But after you get your "sea legs" it's all good fun from there. Our experienced, WPA (World Paddle Association) and CPR/AED certified Instructors are here to help you learn how to get a great workout and have a good and safe time on the water.
We offer private (1 on 1), semi-private (2-3 people), and group lessons (4 people per instructor). All of our lessons are sixty minutes long and include an wide array of top quality SUPs and paddles or surfboards depending on the type of lesson. We also offer wetsuits and PFDs upon request.
Lesson locations are based in the South Bay (Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo Beach) and vary based on skill level and water conditions.
