{pages} together with Nikau Kai is hosting a very intimate event at {pages} with author William Finnegan whose new memoir just came out yesterday.  It’s called Barbarian Days:  A Surfing Life  and its a superb read.

Finnegan is a life long surfer who grew up in LA and Hawaii.  He is now a staff reporter for The New Yorker but prior to that was a war reporter who spent time all over the world reporting and surfing in between.  An excessive adventurer,  you’ll find his new memoir hard to put down.  We are excited to have him at {pages} and invite you to join us for a reception, short discussion and book signing.  Please forward this to others you think might be interested.  Following is the New York Times Book Review of Barbarian Days published last Sunday.

July 31st at 7pm
